Our Native Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your Our Native account and associated personal data.

How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion using either of the following methods:

Inside the App:

Profile → Privacy → Delete Account

Or contact:

Please include:

  • Registered email address or phone number
  • Full name used in the App
  • Native village/community name, if available
  • A clear request: "Please delete my Our Native account and data."

Additional verification may be requested to confirm account ownership.

What Will Be Deleted

After verification and processing, we may delete, revoke access to, or anonymise personal information associated with your account where reasonably possible.

This may include:

  • Profile information
  • Profile photo references
  • Personal profile fields
  • Authentication access
  • Community membership and role access
  • Uploaded media associated directly with your account where technically feasible

Some community content may remain available in anonymised form where required for moderation integrity, legal obligations, safety, audit history, or community continuity.

What Happens After Deletion

Once deletion is processed:

  • You may be signed out from active sessions.
  • Your access to communities and features may be removed.
  • Your profile may become unavailable.
  • Previously contributed content may remain visible in anonymised form (for example, displayed as Deleted User).
  • Deleted accounts may not always be recoverable.

What May Be Retained

Some information may be retained for a limited period if required for:

  • Legal compliance
  • Fraud prevention
  • Security and abuse prevention
  • Dispute resolution
  • Community safety
  • Moderation or audit records
  • Backup and recovery systems until backups expire

Some public or community content may be removed, anonymised, or retained in limited form where required to protect community records, moderation history, or other users’ safety.

Uploaded files, backups, moderation records, security records, audit logs, cache systems, and technical infrastructure may continue to retain information temporarily until retention periods or scheduled cleanup processes complete.

Processing Time

We aim to process verified deletion requests within a reasonable period after successful verification, unless a longer period is required by law, technical limitations, security review, or dispute resolution.
